Event Recap

The History on Huntington Ave: The Building of Northeastern’s Boston Campus virtual tour covered new stops on campus (like the ISEC pedestrian bridge) and stops that no longer exist (like the Boston Opera House that stood where Speare Hall is today). Basing the format off of the Boston walking tours our presenter, Dianna Bronchuk, MS’19, would lead, this tour covered Northeastern’s history from the humble beginnings at the YMCA on Boylston Street to acquiring the Massachusetts Horticultural Building this past February. Photos of campus throughout the 121 years from the library’s digital repository and add in some YouTube videos to give more of an effect of Northeastern’s transformation.

A lot of great memories and information was shared – from the cars students drove to the meet-ups they had at Ryder’s.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy the recording on the Northeastern University Alumni YouTube Channel.
