We are committed to making your student experience the best it can be—after all, you are students today, but alumni forever. We offer a variety of events and activities to help round out your academics and extracurriculars. Whether you join us for an alumni networking night or an intimate dinner with area alumni, we hope you will take advantage.

Senior Year Experience

Senior year is a momentous time! Alumni Relations offers many different engagement opportunities specifically for seniors to ensure students graduate with a sense of community and learn what it means to be alumni.

Student Philanthropy

It’s your experience. You decide.

As students, you have a voice in how to shape your Northeastern experience. Give to what you love: any of the hundreds of student organizations, programs, and offices that have helped make your Northeastern experience unique. Know that 100% of your donation goes to where you choose.

HuskyStarter is Northeastern’s crowdfunding platform available to all recognized student organizations and university-affiliated organizations to fundraise for the groups’ projects. A personalized online fundraiser can be created that will describe the project to your potential donors. Check out the current projects and support your fellow Huskies by making a donation, of any amount.

Be a Leader

Student Alumni Ambassadors (SAA)

As ambassadors of Alumni Relations (AR), Student Alumni Ambassadors are the conduit to connect students with alumni, bring awareness about opportunities students can access now and after graduation, and more importantly, make sure the Northeastern spirit lives on.

Senior Year Experience Board (SYEB)

The SYEB is the group of undergraduate senior volunteers charged with advising Alumni Relations on senior interest, educating peers on philanthropy, and executing meetings and programming throughout the year. The SYEB works with the senior year experience (SYE) engagement officer on all aspects of the SYE to ensure that content and programming is relevant to the students and enhances their experience as seniors.

Awards Programs

Alumni Engagement Award

The Alumni Engagement Award was conceived to acknowledge and support student organizations that actively engage alumni and encourage them to participate in or lead dynamic programming as part of our overall student engagement strategy. The award includes a monetary gift to support further engagement next academic year.

Huntington 100

Sponsored by the Office of Student Life, the Huntington 100 honors outstanding students for achievements which are commensurate with the university’s mission, ideals, values, and Academic Plan. These students represent what Northeastern is today – a selective institution with rigorous academic programs and a sharp focus on the global experience.

Compass Awards Program

The Compass Awards Program, our signature student awards program, recognizes exemplary students from the senior class who, during their time on campus, have demonstrated a true dedication to a core set of values: leadership, volunteerism, academic integrity, and commitment to Northeastern. Students who display strength in these values demonstrate to us that they are on a path to alumni leadership.

More Opportunities

The Northeastern Co-op Mentor program allows alumni and students from around the world to engage and expand their personal networks. Developed by Alumni Relations and Co-op Connections, the program allows alumni mentors to help co-op students navigate their careers and professional development, potentially transforming their co-op experience. Co-op students gain valuable expertise and knowledge from alumni who are leaders in their fields.
