In collaboration with the Office of Alumni Relations, the University Honors Program aims to further strengthen the Honors community by engaging Honors alumni through social events and professional development opportunities. Honors alumni will also have the opportunity to establish meaningful connections with current Honors students through the University Honors Program Alumni Mentoring Network.
The Northeastern University Civil Engineering Alumni Organization (NUCEAO) was formed in 1978 to assist engineering students and to expand the capabilities and resources of the Northeastern University student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers. It forms the core of the civil and environmental engineering alumni base and provides a range of support for the department, including providing speakers for the departmental and student organization seminars, mentors for current student activities, and generous donations.
The McCarthy(s) Venture Mentoring Network (VMN) connects Northeastern entrepreneurs with high-quality, experienced, mentors that can help address a variety of business challenges and make ventures more successful. VMN opportunities are available for alumni looking to receive or offer mentorship. We have worked with over 75 ventures and are always looking to grow our strong community of entrepreneurs. Mosaic is an alliance of student-led organizations that support venture incubation at Northeastern. These student-led organizations work side-by-side with student, alumni, and faculty ventures, creating solutions to the real challenges that entrepreneurs face when starting companies. In addition to helping ventures, Mosaic hosts informal gatherings of entrepreneurial-minded members of our community in areas all around the country.
Health Sciences Entrepreneurs (HSE) promotes health sciences innovation within the Northeastern community by educating and equipping health startups with resources for success. HSE hosts annual events in entrepreneurship and in 2010 launched a mentoring program for alumni, students and faculty from Northeastern who are starting businesses in healthcare, health sciences, and life sciences.
The Center for Entrepreneurship Education empowers students, faculty, and alumni from across the university to innovate, start new companies, and become leaders in the innovation economy. With a focus on building community, the Center fosters innovative, entrepreneurial thinking within the broad Northeastern network.
Northeastern University’s Center for Research Innovation (CRI) is an impact driven initiative bridging the gap between laboratory research and need-based solutions. The CRI serves as the University-wide portal between industry and leading-edge innovations from Northeastern’s use-inspired research portfolio.
