For Kristin D’Angelo, the honors experience at Northeastern was defined by adventure, friendship, and unforgettable memories. Some of her favorite memories include late nights in the East Village common rooms with fellow honors students and leading a chocolate-making workshop through the Honors Exchange of Ideas, Skills, and Talents.
But if she could relive one memory, it would be her Dialogue of Civilizations trip to Peru, made possible through the Honors Fee Waiver. Many of her classmates, including her roommates, were also in the honors program, and the experience quickly became one of the top five highlights of her time at Northeastern. “I learned so much during that trip! Unforgettable memories for sure,” she says.
Today, Kristin is living her lifelong dream as a high school biology teacher, inspiring the next generation of curious minds. When asked about a project she might one day pursue with fellow alumni, she shared an idea to bring them together through an immersive “Dialogue”-type experience – creating new opportunities to learn, explore, and collaborate beyond their student years.
