Access Northeastern Account

Beginning in July 2020, Northeastern upgraded our Identity Management system. The new system provides more self-service options for alumni accounts, and enhanced security and protections through two-factor authentication.

If you graduated in 2013 or later, your username and password remain the same as your student account. Please follow these steps to log into your Northeastern account directly through the services listed below. 

Should you have any difficulty in accessing your account, you can reset your password, or contact the ITS Customer Experience team at 617-373-4357.

Do you have 2FA?

To increase account security, Northeastern is expanding its two-factor authentication (2FA) enrollment requirement. As a result, all Northeastern alumni account holders must enroll in Duo, the university’s 2FA provider. Enrollment is required for continued access to university systems and web services such as NUsource, email access and online library resources. Please note, you will need your current username and password to enroll in 2FA.

UserId Lookup

Northeastern upgraded our Identity Management system in July 2020, and we are currently working to bring more self-service tools online for alumni account holders. Currently, if you do not remember your UserID, you can reach out to help@northeastern.edu or 617-373-4357.

Be sure to include your full name, 9-digit NUID number, graduation year, college, and email address or phone number in your request. As our customer service representatives work with you, they may ask for other information.

Please note, your 9-digit NUID is featured in the footer on all email sent by The Office of Alumni Relations. If you cannot find your NUID number, reach out alumni@northeastern.edu for assistance.

Password Reset

If you know your Northeastern UserID, you can use our self-service password reset tool to reset your password. For more information on the tool, and how to use it, please visit our knowledge base article.

Please note that your UserID (e.g. smith.j) is different from your 9-digit NUID number.
