Founded in 1879, the Alumnae Association of Mills College (AAMC) is an independent nonprofit organization that works closely with the Mills Legacy Office of Alumnae Relations to promote the interests of Mills College alumnae through action, information, and lifelong connections and learning.

The mission of the AOCC is to foster retention and recruitment of alumnae, students, faculty, and administrators of color on the Oakland campus; to serve as a force for change, confronting racism, prejudice, and discrimination; to support a thriving, multicultural Mills community where people of color are valued and empowered as full participants. The AOCC is a committee of the Alumnae Association of Mills College.
