Northeastern University continues its tradition of celebrating our most experienced alumni—our Golden Graduates. All Golden Graduates are invited to participate in our tradition of joining new graduates at the Northeastern University Commencement Ceremony. Enjoy other opportunities to reconnect throughout the weekend before the 50th reunion class caps festivities with its Golden Reunion Celebration.
This year’s Golden Graduates Celebration will be on April 28-29, 2026. Be on the lookout early 2026 for registration information regarding the Celebration.

Class of 1976, this is your big night! Connect with classmates for conversation, laughter, and lots of catching up at your Golden Reunion. Reconnect with friends, strengthen your personal connections, and toast to your 50th anniversary as graduates of Northeastern. Celebrate your Northeastern legacy with a cocktail hour reception followed by dinner and dancing!

To help make your participation at the Commencement ceremony as convenient as possible, we have arranged for complimentary parking on campus and courtesy buses to bring you to Fenway Park. Due to security protocols, all Golden Graduates and their guest must take the buses to Fenway Park.
We will leave promptly at 2:15 PM to make it to Fenway in time to get settled in before the start of the ceremony.
124th Northeastern Commencement Ceremony
Fenway Park – 4:00 PM-5:30 PM ET
Don your golden cap and gown, join the great tradition of taking part in the 124th
Commencement ceremony at Boston’s iconic Fenway Park. Watch as the Class of
2026 is welcomed into the Northeastern alumni family. All Golden Graduates will be
given priority seating at Northeastern’s biggest celebration of the year.
*There will be courtesy buses to bring guests back to campus after the ceremony as well as after the Post-Ceremony Reception.
Post-Ceremony Reception
Fenway Park – 5:45 PM-7:00 PM ET
As graduates leave the park, Golden Graduates and their guests will relax in a private suite for some hors d’oeuvres and drinks before heading back to campus.
*There will be courtesy buses to bring guests back to campus after the ceremony as well as after the Post-Ceremony Reception.
Via Public Transportation
Northeastern is accessible by subway via the Green Line (the Northeastern stop on the E line) or the Orange Line (Ruggles Station stop). Both lines exit onto Huntington Ave.
Commuter rail lines connect with the Orange Line at Back Bay Station, Ruggles Station, and North Station.
Directions to 795 Columbus Avenue Parking Garage
From the north (via Route I-93 or Route 1): Take the Storrow Drive exit and proceed to the Fenway exit. Follow signs for Boylston Street inbound and bear right onto Westland Avenue. Turn right onto Massachusetts Avenue, proceed to the third traffic light, and turn right onto Columbus Avenue. The 795 Columbus Ave. Parking Garage is at 795 Columbus Avenue on your right.
From the west (via Route I-90, Massachusetts Turnpike):Take Exit 22 (Copley Square), and bear right. Proceed to the first traffic light and turn right onto Dartmouth Street. Take the next right onto Columbus Avenue. The 795 Columbus Ave. Parking Garage is at 795 Columbus Avenue on your right.
From the west (via Route 9): Proceed east on Route 9; it will become Huntington Avenue. Turn right onto Ruggles Street. At the fourth traffic light, turn left onto Tremont Street. At the second set of lights, turn left onto Melnea Cass Boulevard, and then turn right onto Columbus Avenue. The 795 Columbus Ave. Parking Garage is at 795 Columbus Avenue on your left.
From the south (via I-93, Route 3): Take Exit 15B (Massachusetts Avenue/Roxbury/Frontage Road). Turn left at the third light, staying in one of the two left lanes. Proceed straight onto Melnea Cass Boulevard. Continue for approximately two miles and turn right onto Columbus Avenue. The 795 Columbus Ave. Parking Garage is at 795 Columbus Avenue on your left.
A complimentary parking pass for the garage at 795 Columbus Avenue exclusively will be given to each main registrant when you attend the first event you are registered for. This parking pass will be in your Welcome Packet.
Please note:
*You must pull the parking coupon upon entry into the 795 Columbus Avenue Garage. When you exit, you will scan that coupon, followed by scanning the pass you will be given once you arrive at your first event.
*There is no overnight parking available at the Columbus Garage.
