The School of Journalism at Northeastern University’s College of Arts, Media and Design invites you to the annual Jack Thomas Lecture Series featuring a conversation with Nancy Barnes, Editor of The Boston Globe moderated by Jonathan Kaufman, Director and Professor of the School of Journalism. The lecture is a complement to the Tom Winship Scholar program in the School of Journalism, which provides support for first-generation, local Boston, and underrepresented students to ensure newsrooms reflect the communities they serve.

The Center for International Affairs and World Cultures runs a book launch series for new faculty books that make a ground-breaking contribution to the study of international relations. Through this series, we aim to showcase thought-provoking narratives, cultural exploration, and intellectual exchange focused on the themes of international cooperation, mutual understanding, and empathy in solving major global challenges. Dr. Rivera Vega is a Professor of English at the University of Puerto Rico, specializing in Diasporic Puerto Rican Literature, Contemporary U.S. Latinx writing, and Caribbean migration narratives, and Women’s Studies.
