The Current State of American Policing

The last few years have brought greater public awareness to the state of policing, including police officers’ relationships with local communities, internal dynamics and policies within police departments, and the public call for increased transparency. Watch this to recording to hear from two Northeastern University experts, Professor Jack McDevitt and Professor Amy Farrell, as they shared research into the reforms sweeping through police departments across the country. Our speakers had a robust conversation about the movement towards increased accountability in policing and the impacts on both communities and police departments.
