Maternal Optimism Today women are in high demand both in the household and in the office, often feeling challenged to meet the needs of their families and careers. A group of 19 joined at 305 Fitness for a non-stop cardio party featuring sports drills, conditioning exercises, and high intensity interval training. Halfway through, the class transitioned to a sculpting session with weights and concluded with a five minute sprint.
Alumna Ali McCarthy, DMSB’16 instructed a full body resistance training class of 11 at Btone on Newbury Street. Built around state-of-the-art equipment, this 45 minute session left the group sweaty and shaking.
Food connoisseurs gathered around the grill at Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street Cooking School for a sizzling demonstration followed by a sit down dinner. There are those who eat to live, but this bunch truly live to eat and shared some of their fondest culinary accomplishments, while munching on tahini brownies.
Rookie salsa dancers started their winter Friday night mastering some very basic footwork, twirls and shimmies – at a studio tucked away in Allston. All attendees swapped partners throughout the class, making for great participation overall. Main assistant, Andres and his instructor did a great job of creating a welcoming and judgement-free atmosphere.
A class of 16 prepared for their Thanksgiving feasts with an hour-long workout at Title Boxing. The group was a diverse mix – between age and boxing experience.
