(Canceled) Spring NU@Noon | Northeastern Night at the Pops

The Boston Pops will perform a symphonic version of “Ragtime,” created especially for the Pops in honor of Keith Lockhart's 25th anniversary, by Tony award-winning original creators – Terrence McNally, Lynn Ahrens, and Stephen Flaherty. Based on the 1975 novel by E. L. Doctorow, “Ragtime” weaves together the stories of three groups in the United States in the early 20th century: Eastern European immigrants, the African-American community in Harlem, and an upper-class white family whose lives intersect. Together, they confront history’s timeless contradictions of wealth and poverty, freedom and prejudice, hope and despair. Join us for the traditional fanfare dinner in the Alumni Center before the show.

Huskies Hands-On: Learn to Salsa with SyC

Rookie salsa dancers started their winter Friday night mastering some very basic footwork, twirls and shimmies – at a studio tucked away in Allston. All attendees swapped partners throughout the class, making for great participation overall. Main assistant, Andres and his instructor did a great job of creating a welcoming and judgement-free atmosphere.
