The importance of contact tracing as a public health tool during pandemics and the role, origins, and operations of the Massachusetts Community Tracing Collaborative (CTC) and the Academic Public Health Volunteer Corps (APHVC) in current contact tracing and case management efforts was discussed. The speakers focused on the impact of current contact tracing efforts on the pandemic in our Commonwealth, the role of contact tracing in the context of existing health disparities, and how contact tracing intersects with social determinants of health and their differential impact within marginalized and minority populations in our communities.
