The Senior Year Experience Board (SYEB) is a group of undergraduate seniors who advise and help Alumni Relations execute senior year events and activities — the Senior Year Experience. The SYEB works with the senior year experience engagement officer on all aspects of the SYE to ensure that content and programming is relevant to the seniors and enhances their experience. Learn more about SYEB by clicking the button below!
Be on the lookout for your senior newsletter on all things #NU22. The 22., published monthly, is the official communication tool for the senior class. Newsletters provide important updates and information about the SYE, including important deadlines, exclusive events, AR offerings, etc. This newsletter also highlights your classmates and their accomplishments at Northeastern. Make sure [email protected] is a safe-sender in your email account!
Have a knack for design and want to get creative? Senior t-shirts are a tradition at Northeastern, and we need your help in creating the design that will be worn to represent the Class of 2022. Design submissions will open soon, so get ready and keep in touch as the class votes on the winner!
The Legacy Campaign is the giving campaign focused on senior giving. Seniors can choose any fund to donate to and will have multiple opportunities to participate in the Legacy Campaign throughout the year. Giving is as easy as buying tickets to an event, purchasing senior exclusives through SYEB, or donating to Husky Starters through the Northeastern student crowdfunding platform.
HuskyStarter is Northeastern’s crowdfunding platform available to all recognized student organizations and university-affiliated organizations to fundraise for the groups’ projects. A personalized online fundraiser can be created that will describe the project to your potential donors. Check out the current projects and support your fellow Huskies by making a donation, of any amount.
It’s your gift, it’s your choice. Whether it be your student organization, college, or area of study, remember that 100% of your donation will go to the area of your choice and leave a lasting impact.
As you look to life after graduation, don’t forget to plan for what’s next. We can help you strengthen your network, continue learning, advance your next big idea, and much more. Get started by taking some of the actions below.
As an alumnus you retain access to your Northeastern Outlook account (student email, calendar and documents) after graduation unless you request to be removed from the service. If you have an active hold on your account, access to these services may be terminated one year after your graduation date.
You will lose access to the gym and recreation facilities immediately upon graduation. At this time, only Northeastern University students, faculty, and staff have access to our facilities. Check the recreation center page periodically for updates.
Your Student Husky Cards will be deactivated upon graduation.
Visit Husky Card Services in 4 Speare Commons during business hours to receive your Alumni Husky Card. Your Alumni Husky Card gives you:
• ability to use Husky Dollars remaining on your account
• access to the Snell Library (pending university COVID-19 guidelines, currently restricted)
• access to the Marino Center — if you sign up for an alumni gym membership (pending university COVID-19 guidelines, currently restricted).
As an alumnus/a, you are always invited to participate in Employer Engagement and Career Design events and workshops. You also have full access to NUcareers and other online tools that are available to full-time students. Use your myNortheastern username and password to access NUcareers.
Currently, alumni are not allowed access into Snell Library due to university COVID-19 guidelines. Check the library page periodically for updates. Once regular operations resume, you can visit any Northeastern library during regular service hours and borrow books and videos, or use on-site collections using your Alumni Husky Card. The Alumni Reading Room is also available to alumni. Alumni also have access to select online library resources, including RefWorks.
There are many career resources available to you through various university departments. The Alumni Relations office can help connect alumni with the resource that best suits their needs, whether that is to guide them through the next step in your chosen profession, begin your own startup, or reposition yourself in an ever-changing market.
You can meet other Northeastern alumni through our online directory and mentoring platform, NUsource, by attending events in your city, and getting involved with our local community.
As a Northeastern alumnus/a, you qualify for a variety of benefits and services offered by the Alumni Relations office in conjunction with key partners. The benefits include deals on travel and hospitality, discounts on auto and home insurance, and many more.
